Your details, kept simple

Who we are

Swim Pools & Spas Ltd (“we”, “us”) is a family-owned business in Northampton, Northamptonshire, building and renovating swimming pools and carrying out home renovations. It is a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14329483). We are responsible for the personal information you send us through this website.

What we collect

Only what you type into our quote form:

• your name
• your phone number and/or email address
• the service you’re interested in
• your message
• any choices you make in our pool designer, such as shape, size and finishes, if you send them with your enquiry

Please don’t include anything sensitive that we don’t need to quote for your job. We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t collect payment details through this website.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, talk through your project and prepare a quote. Because you’ve asked us to do this, we rely on taking steps at your request before any agreement for work. If you go ahead with a job, we’ll use the same details to arrange and carry out the work.

We won’t add you to a mailing list, and we don’t sell or pass your details to anyone for marketing.

How your enquiry reaches us

When you press send on our quote form, your enquiry goes to our email inbox. On the way it passes through two services we use:

• Vercel, which hosts this website and runs the small program that handles the form
• Resend, an email delivery service that sends the enquiry on to our inbox

These companies handle your enquiry only to deliver it to us, under their own data protection terms. Some of their systems are outside the UK, including in the United States.

If you choose instead to send your enquiry by WhatsApp or through your own email app, it travels through that service instead, and its own privacy terms apply.

Cookies and your browser

• This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites.
• If you start filling in the quote form but don’t send it, your browser keeps a draft in its session storage so you don’t lose it while you browse the page. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is cleared when you close the tab.
• The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts and its photographs from Unsplash. As with any web request, those services see your device’s IP address when your browser fetches them.
• Like any website host, Vercel processes your IP address in order to deliver the pages to you.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it. After that we delete it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us:

• for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete
• to delete your information

Just email sphrltd@gmail.com. There’s no charge, and we’ll reply as soon as we can — and within one month.

Making a complaint

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

If we change how the website works, we’ll update this page and the date below.
