It sounds simple, because it is. When you call, you speak to the owner. The owner visits, measures and writes your quote. And when work starts, it's the owner on site — every day — until the pool is filled and you're happy with it.

Nothing is hired out or handed to anyone else. That's how this family business has worked for more than twenty years: friendly, straightforward, and treating every customer like family.

1.2 mLeak detection

Losing water? We'll find it — without digging up your garden

A leaking pool wastes water, chemicals and heat, and it can quietly damage the ground around it. We locate leaks using up-to-date technology and methods that don't involve lifting your patio or breaking into the pool to go looking — then we repair the cause.

  1. 1The search starts at the surface, using non-invasive equipment.
  2. 2The leak is pinpointed — in the shell, fittings or buried pipework.
  3. 3Your paving and pool stay put. We only open up what needs repairing.

Try this at home

The bucket test

Every pool loses some water to evaporation. This simple test shows whether it's more than that.

  1. Top the pool up to its normal level.
  2. Fill a bucket with pool water to about 5 cm from the top and stand it on a pool step, so it sits in the water.
  3. Mark the water level inside the bucket, and mark the pool's level on the outside of the bucket.
  4. Leave it for 24 hours with the pump running as usual. No swimming, topping up or — ideally — rain.
  5. Compare the two drops. If the pool has fallen noticeably more than the bucket, you probably have a leak.

Tip: repeat the test with the pump off. If you lose more water with the pump running, the leak is more likely to be in the pipework.

Signs your pool may be leaking

  • Topping up noticeably more often than you used to
  • Soggy ground, sunken paving or extra-green patches near the pool
  • Cracked or loose tiles, or gaps opening up around the coping
  • Chemicals that won't stay balanced, or algae that keeps coming back
  • Air bubbles in the return jets, or the pump struggling to prime
  • A higher water bill with no obvious reason

Spotted one or two of these? Get in touch — the sooner a leak is found, the less it costs you in water, heat and chemicals.

2.2 mFAQ

Good questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly — you'll get a straight answer from the owner.

How long does a new pool take to build?

It depends on the pool and the site. Size and shape, the type of construction, access for machinery, ground conditions and groundwater, the finish you choose and, of course, the weather all play a part. After the survey you'll get a realistic timeline in writing — and because the owner does the work personally, you'll always know exactly where things stand.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. All work is completed by the owner personally — nothing is hired out or handed to anyone else. The person who quotes for your job is the person who builds it.

Can you renovate an old or tired pool?

Often, yes. Many older pools can be given a new lease of life with a new liner or tiling, replacement coping, updated equipment or a cover. We'll look at your pool honestly and tell you what's worth doing — and what isn't.

How do I know if my pool is leaking?

All pools lose some water to evaporation, especially in warm, windy weather. Try the bucket test: if the pool drops noticeably more than the bucket over 24 hours, a leak is likely. Other signs include constant topping up, soggy ground or sunken paving near the pool, and cracked or loose tiles. We can find the source without damaging your property.

Do you service hot tubs?

Yes. Alongside swimming pools, we service and maintain hot tubs. Get in touch with a few details about yours and what's going on, and we'll take it from there.

Which areas do you cover?

We're based in Northampton and work across Northamptonshire — including Kettering, Wellingborough, Daventry, Towcester, Corby, Rushden and Brackley — and across London, from central London out to the wider Greater London area. Not on the list? Just ask.
